Marvel Studios has shown off a new Avengers: Doomsday poster at San Diego Comic-Con Málaga in Spain, giving fans their clearest promo image so far of Doctor Doom and the three masked figures standing behind him.

The poster puts Doctor Doom front and center as the movie’s main threat, with Robert Downey Jr. back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the villain. Behind him are the red-, green-, and purple-robed women Marvel still hasn’t named, and their appearance has kicked up the “Latverian witches” theory again after they first turned up in costume displays at San Diego Comic-Con in California.

Anthony Mackie only added fuel to that by teasing “a lot of doom” and describing Avengers: Doomsday as “non-stop pandemonium,” which lines up with the darker, packed Phase Six vibe Marvel Studios appears to be pushing.

If you’ve been keeping up with Marvel’s Phase Six setup, this one’s worth paying attention to. Fans are already trying to connect the witches to Wanda Maximoff, Sylvie, Agatha Harkness, Clea, and even Cynthia von Doom, though they could just as easily turn out to be Doctor Doom’s servants, mystical guards, or high-level Latverian agents.

The poster is already out there as part of Marvel Studios’ Comic-Con push, and the Anthony and Joe Russo-directed film arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026. It also marks Marvel Studios’ move away from Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and toward a Doctor Doom-driven Multiverse Saga event that’s expected to bring in familiar Marvel Cinematic Universe faces, along with characters tied to the former Fox X-Men films.
