Lanterns<\/em>, HBO<\/a>\u2019s Green Lantern series inside the DCU, wrapped its first season on October 4, 2026<\/strong>, and the finale blows up the franchise\u2019s Green Lantern status quo. After Sheriff Kerry Kane discovers that her son Noah is a Manhunter hybrid, she kills Hal Jordan. John Stewart then takes Hal\u2019s ring and a Sinestro-forged battery that fuses green willpower with yellow fear, declares himself Earth\u2019s Green Lantern outside both the Green Lantern Corps and the Guardians, and sends the Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King series into much bigger territory. Up to that point, the show had run from August 16 to October 4, 2026 as a grounded Rushville murder mystery, drawing a lot of True Detective<\/em> comparisons, and it\u2019s sitting at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, according to Rotten Tomatoes. Now it\u2019s moving straight into cosmic crossover territory, with Aaron Pierre reportedly lined up for Man of Tomorrow<\/em> and season two ideas reportedly already in the works.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve been keeping up with the DCU, this is a finale<\/strong> you\u2019ll want to see, and the tie-in is worth picking up too. Injustice 2 Mobile<\/em> has already added Guy Gardner in his DCU-style Justice Gang suit as a Legendary Arcane solo-raids fighter who builds a combo meter to enter Green Lantern Form. Lex Luthor is already playable as well, and it seems likely that more Man of Tomorrow<\/em>-style game crossovers are on the way.<\/p>\n\n
