Star Wars: Galactic Racer<\/a> is set to raise its online party size from three players<\/strong> to six in a post-launch update arriving within the first few weeks after release, according to developer Fuse Games.<\/p>\n

The studio says more details are coming soon. The move follows immediate backlash from players over the original three-player cap<\/strong>, which stood out right away because standard online races in Star Wars: Galactic Racer support up to 12 players, while Podracing supports up to 8.<\/p>\n\n

If you’re hoping to race with a bigger group of friends, this is a solid upgrade<\/strong>. It doubles the number of players who can join the same party without awkward workarounds, even if it still doesn’t line up with the maximum size in every mode.<\/p>\n\n

Players have also been asking for private or custom lobbies for organized races and tournaments, along with split-screen multiplayer<\/strong>, but Fuse Games hasn’t announced plans for either feature.<\/p>\n\n

Even with those complaints, the anti-gravity racer is off to a strong start<\/strong>. IGN called Star Wars: Galactic Racer \u201ca fabulous looking and frantically fast anti-grav racer,\u201d other coverage has praised its speed, presentation, and roguelite-style campaign, and reports said it climbed quickly to the top of Steam<\/a>\u2019s sales charts.<\/p>\n\n
