Blizzard has set a date for WoW<\/a>: Forever. Its permanent World of Warcraft<\/a> Classic experience launches on November 4, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Recent WoW experiments have mostly been seasonal. WoW: Forever is being pitched a different way, more like a long-term home<\/strong>. Progression moves slower, groups are meant to be formed manually, automated finders and certain add-ons are limited, and there\u2019s less pressure from resets or power grinds that expire.<\/p>\n\n

Blizzard says that slower pace is the whole point, a response to MMO burnout. Raids should still be challenging, just without the extreme demands<\/strong> tied to modern Mythic raiding. Miss a week. Miss a month. You shouldn\u2019t log back in feeling punished for it.<\/p>\n\n

If you\u2019ve been wanting World of Warcraft without a seasonal countdown timer hanging over everything, this looks worth a look. Reports say the September 17 beta brought in some of Blizzard\u2019s strongest participation in years, pushed the company to raise server capacity several times, and hit an estimated 37,470 players<\/strong>. All of that happened while people were still arguing over the GDKP loot-run ban in North America and Europe, with those runs reportedly still allowed in some other regions, including Korea.<\/p>\n\n
