Directed by Rachel Morrison and written by Julia Cox, Love of Your Life<\/em> is a romance drama with clear prestige ambitions. Maya\u2019s life gets knocked off course after a chance encounter with Charlie, and the relationship that follows is the kind that forces her to reconsider who she is, what she wants, and whether she\u2019s ready to let herself love again. For Basso, it\u2019s a pretty sharp turn away from the bruised, battered Peter Sutherland he plays in The Night Agent<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n

One timeline detail matters here. Love of Your Life<\/em> is now part of Basso\u2019s lineup, but his first major confirmed project after The Night Agent<\/em> was Clint Eastwood\u2019s Juror #2<\/em>, where he played murder-trial defendant James Michael Sythe alongside Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, J.K. Simmons, and Kiefer Sutherland.<\/p>\n\n
