Released in 2014<\/strong>, the miniseries follows half-brothers Wirt and Greg as they make their way through the Unknown. Elijah Wood voices Wirt, and with 10 episodes running about 11 minutes each, it adds up to a full two-hour fantasy that feels perfect for fall without turning into a long binge.<\/p>\n\n

The appeal hasn\u2019t worn off. The show mixes bedtime-story warmth with old-folklore creepiness, folk-art design, Americana imagery, and a fairy-tale mood that still feels distinct. It also remains well regarded as Cartoon Network\u2019s first original miniseries, holds a 94% score<\/strong> on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, and slips back into cult-classic status every October.<\/p>\n\n
