Norrsken Foundation and Nvidia are teaming up on a new startup lab in Stockholm, scheduled to open in 2027. The idea is to give a selected group of European founders building mission-driven breakthrough tech a place to work, along with AI compute and developer tools. The hub will focus on climate, health, food, and wider societal challenges, part of Norrsken’s €300 million Prompt What Matters push, which is meant to go beyond capital.

The lab is slated for Birger Jarlsgatan 37, about 200 metres from Norrsken House Stockholm, giving Norrsken a second location in the city. The space is expected to include private offices, a lounge, event space, and shared access across both hubs.

Nvidia will be the founding technology partner and plans to move its Stockholm office into the building. For founders, that means access to compute capacity, tools for robotics, simulation, and life sciences, plus Nvidia Inception.

A ground-floor demo lab will be run with Root Bio, which uses software models for molecule design to work on biological problems, including greenhouse gas emissions. More showcases are planned across robotics, climate, health, and manufacturing.

If you’re building impact software or deep tech in Europe, this is one to watch.

The timing matters. Swedish startups in the sector raised €454 million in 2025, adoption reached 35%, and Nvidia kept expanding across Europe, with another $2 billion planned after roughly $8 billion in regional venture investment. If you want to follow the project before the 2027 opening, Norrsken Foundation and Nvidia are both sharing updates.
