Deadlock<\/a> added Violet today, October 16, 2026<\/strong>. She\u2019s the fifth of the six heroes coming in the City Never Sleeps<\/a> update.<\/p>\n

Her kit is built around control, and most of that starts with Living Ink<\/strong>. It lets you steer your next three bullets, adds splash along with extra bullet and spirit damage, trims ability and item cooldowns when those shots hit enemy heroes, and even lets you paint a solid stroke in midair. That stroke blocks both characters and projectiles until an enemy breaks it with a heavy melee hit, which also deals damage to them.<\/p>\n\n

Flow State sends a brush forward and paints a trail allies can surf across. Enemies hit by either the brush or the trail are slowed by a fading 60%<\/strong> for two seconds, and you can reactivate it to deal area spirit damage. Early reporting also points to Still Life as a stun that grants a permanent stat boost, while Abstract Landscape creates a vision-blocking arena that punishes enemies for leaving it.<\/p>\n\n

If you play Deadlock regularly, this is an update you\u2019ll probably want to check out. Violet already looks like one of the game\u2019s most inventive, highest-skill heroes. City Never Sleeps also reworks the map and UI, adds districts, neutral enemies, and a temporary merchant that sells randomized Corrupted Items. Her early reported win rate sits at 47.4%<\/strong>, though, so her role, matchups, and best comps still aren\u2019t all that clear, even with the strong Steam<\/a> player growth Deadlock saw during beta.<\/p>\n\n
