Star-Lord is headed back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chris Pratt says Peter Quill will return after six appearances<\/strong> across the franchise, though neither he nor Marvel Studios has confirmed which project he\u2019s returning in or when it\u2019s coming out.<\/p>\n

Pratt also said Marvel Studios has already taken \u201cconcrete steps\u201d to make it happen. Even so, there\u2019s still no confirmed project<\/strong>, no release window, and no word from Pratt or Marvel about where Peter Quill fits next.<\/p>\n\n

The clearest tease is still the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3<\/a><\/em> post-credits scene, where the on-screen card read, \u201cThe Legendary Star-Lord Will Return.\u201d That movie also reset Peter Quill a bit by sending him back to Earth to reunite with his grandfather and try living a quieter life, which leaves plenty of room for either a smaller solo story<\/strong> or a larger ensemble comeback.<\/p>\n\n

If you\u2019ve been waiting for a real update on the character, this is probably the firmest one so far. A lot of the speculation is already landing on Avengers: Secret Wars<\/em>, while earlier comments from Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em> filmmaker James Gunn about a Legendary Star-Lord<\/em> project, along with Pratt\u2019s own pitch<\/strong> to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, suggest Marvel has also been exploring more character-driven options.<\/p>\n\n

For now, Marvel Studios is still keeping the exact details<\/strong> of his return under wraps. In the meantime, you can stream Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3<\/em> and Star-Lord\u2019s earlier Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances on Disney+<\/a>.<\/p>\n
