Spotify<\/a> has updated the verification process for Premium Family, and the rules around who counts as part of your household just got tighter. The goal is to stop people from sharing one plan across different addresses<\/strong>. If Spotify flags your account, the prompt will show up in the mobile app. In some cases, members now have to scan a quickly refreshing QR code displayed on the plan manager\u2019s phone, which means both people need to be in the same place at the same time. If you\u2019re selected, you get seven days to complete the check. Miss that window, and you can\u2019t join another Spotify Premium Family or Premium Duo plan for 12 months, so you\u2019ll have to switch to some other subscription in the meantime.<\/p>\n
