Blizzard has set November 4, 2026 for November 4, 2026, and says the MMO will ship with thousands of secrets waiting to be found from day one.

Senior designer Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield said the beta left a lot out on purpose. Hidden items, recipes, and other “really well-buried” content were turned off, especially through the first 30 levels. The level-30 cap also meant players couldn’t really see what the later zones, dungeons, raids, and a big chunk of the expansion will feel like before launch.

The studio is also leaning on anti-datamining tools to keep item names and stats hidden until players actually discover them in-game. 12,500 items were obscured when the beta began, and by late October 2026 about 40% were still hidden, with players having uncovered only 34% of those. Even with that, beta testers still managed to dig up some strange finds, including an ore-mining axe, a battle-mage sword, and the Cozy Sleeping Bag XP buff.

If you’ve been waiting for an MMO launch that won’t be completely charted by guides on day one, this one has a lot going for it. There’s still the question of whether some of those secrets will end up too obscure, or whether the balance will feel uneven in places, but the early reaction from the community has been mostly positive.

You can already reserve your character name, and Blizzard has extended the beta ahead of the PC launch.
