MP1st says Bloober Team’s reported remake of the original 1999 Silent Hill is now being penciled in for 2027, and the first signs of casting may be starting to show.

In MP1st’s report, the project is being cast under the codename “Project Noise.” At one stage it may also have been connected to “Project G.” Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew are reportedly attached, though nobody knows who they’re playing yet, and there’s still no word at all on Harry Mason.

And yes, this rumor is about a remake of the first Silent Hill from 1999, not Silent Hill 2. That one launched on October 8, 2024 for PS5 and PC. This remake would take players back to Harry Mason’s search for his adopted daughter in the town, still buried in fog.

Anyone following Konami’s horror push will probably keep an eye on this. Konami confirmed the Bloober Team partnership last year. MP1st also says development may go back as far as 2022. Producer Motoi Okamoto has already talked about second and third waves, which makes this sound less like a one-off and more like a longer rollout, with something close to one Silent Hill release each year.

For now, there’s nothing to download. With The Short Message, Silent Hill f, Townfall, and a reboot film already in the pipeline, that 2027 window still looks like an unconfirmed piece of Konami’s wider expansion.
