World of Warcraft: Forever opened early name reservations today, October 27, giving players a head start before the PC mode launches on Battle.net on November 4, 2026.

Blizzard says the reservation window runs from October 27 through November 3. To reserve a name, you’ll need the Skyborne Heroic Pack, the Skyborne Epic Pack, or the Warcraft Forever Collection. The process goes through Battle.net: install the client, pick a Ruleset, and create your characters. Names are first come, first served, and you can only make three characters total across all Rulesets.

For the full launch on November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST / 23:00 UTC, Blizzard says all you’ll need is a World of Warcraft subscription or game time. There is one warning attached to that. Oceanic players on Australian servers who create Normal or PvP characters first could end up losing access to Roleplay or Roleplay-PvP options. Blizzard also says its naming filter is incorrectly blocking some legitimate names, including names that contain “con.”

Forever is Blizzard’s Classic+ branch, sitting alongside modern World of Warcraft and World of Warcraft Classic. It keeps the level cap at 60, leans toward horizontal progression, and adds more than 1,000 quests. Blizzard also says players can expect expanded zones, brand-new zones, dungeons, raids, the Skyborne race, a 15v15 battleground, account-wide Legacy progression, and updates roughly every four months.

If you’ve got a name in mind that other players will rush for, or you’re a former WoW player curious enough to check out the new mode, this is the moment to jump in.

You can access both name reservations and the full game through Battle.net on PC.
