Google has added a beta feature<\/strong> to Gemini<\/a> called Immersive Explorations. It brings interactive visual guides for complicated topics to both mobile and the web.<\/p>\n

Rather than making you read one long slab of text, it lets you tap through layered, step-by-step explainers<\/strong>. At launch, though, the selection is pretty limited. Google says there are 20 preset topics, split across Civilizations, Energy, Engineering, Medicine, Geology, Oceans, and Spaceflight. The list includes subjects like the Silk Road, jet engines, and the physics of lightning.<\/p>\n\n

Google also says Immersive Explorations works with personal Google accounts<\/strong>, Google Workspace<\/a> accounts, and Google Education Fundamentals, Standard, and Plus plans. It supports English, Indonesian, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and Simplified Chinese.<\/p>\n\n

If you already use Gemini to study, this beta is probably worth trying. Still, it feels closer to a well-made reference library<\/strong> than something you can shape yourself, since you can’t build custom lessons.<\/p>\n\n

There are still a few loose ends<\/strong>. Some early users have run into loading problems, and Google hasn’t fully answered questions about the model powering Immersive Explorations, how accuracy is checked, or what data gets collected. The company says conversation integration and possibly audio narration are on the way, as part of its broader Gemini education push tied to LearnLM, flashcards, quizzes, study guides, Guided Learning, and Google Classroom<\/a> tools.<\/p>\n\n
