Neura has opened what it calls a \u201crobogym\u201d in Munich, where as many as 100 humanoid robots<\/strong> spend their time picking up car parts, stacking boxes, and learning how much pressure to use on fragile objects like a glass. The whole setup is part of Neura\u2019s effort to build real-world training data, the kind robots can\u2019t just scrape from the internet. The idea is simple enough: run the same tasks over and over, add remote human guidance, and get humanoid robots ready for work in warehouses and factories.<\/p>\n

China still has the lead. Interact Analysis says China has more than 90 humanoid data centers<\/strong>, while Europe has about 10, and one site in Beijing directs 100 robots with close to 200 instructors.<\/p>\n\n

If you follow automation, keep an eye on this. Neura has reportedly raised as much as $1.4 billion<\/strong> from Nvidia and Amazon at a valuation of roughly $7 billion, and it\u2019s not alone in the race. Boston Dynamics<\/a>, Figure AI, Agility Robotics, and Hexagon are pushing hard too.<\/p>\n\n

There\u2019s more coming. Neura already has a facility in Hangzhou, and the company says it wants to have five sites around the world<\/strong> by the end of next year.<\/p>\n\n

Figure AI\u2019s humanoid robots are already reaching BMW assembly lines, and Agility Robotics\u2019 Digit is moving into logistics. Hyundai has ordered 25,000 Boston Dynamics Atlas robots<\/strong>. Humanoid robot prices run from about $16,000 to more than $100,000. Forecasts for the humanoid robotics market in 2050 keep moving higher. None of the hard questions have gone away, though: safety, privacy, accountability , job losses, and regulation are all still unsettled.<\/p>\n
