Apple Maps<\/a> imagery updated in October 2026 seems to have introduced blurred satellite views<\/strong> at several U.S. military and space sites, among them Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Vandenberg Space Force Base, Wallops Flight Facility, Stennis Space Center, Whiteman Air Force Base, Groom Lake\/Area 51, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. In that same Apple Maps imagery<\/a>, Pearl Harbor, Naval Station Norfolk, Naval Station Great Lakes, Dyess Air Force Base, Barksdale Air Force Base, and Kennedy Space Center launch infrastructure are still plainly visible, which makes the policy look selective rather than universal.<\/p>\n
