It&#8217;s a space game, set in a parallel universe where our Space Race never ended.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.polygon.com\/2013\/4\/5\/4183864\/minecraft-scrolls-0x10c-the-past-present-and-future-of-mojang-as-seen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Polgon<\/a>, Notch said the game is a long way off, as (there is) <strong>&#8216;just  some kind of weird creative block that&#8217;s been going on for too long,  and [0x10c] is going to be put on ice until we can fix that.<\/strong>&#8216;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-38729\" title=\"0x10c\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/04\/0x10c-1024x513.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/04\/0x10c-1024x513.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/04\/0x10c-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/04\/0x10c.jpeg 1476w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The concept is fascinating &#8211; a computer bug in some traveler&#8217;s deep  sleep cells mean they are not awoken until the year <strong>281 474 976 712 644  AD<\/strong>. By then, the universe is nearing the end of its life; dominated by  black holes and lonelier than ever.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently there is nothing to do in the game so far, and its not  really fun yet, although Notch can see that it could be. It&#8217;s  certainly a much geekier proposition &#8211; in the game you have a ship and  the on-board computer is fully programmable. You will be able to modify  the game from within the game itself, which is an interesting idea, but  it&#8217;s hard to see the mass appeal of it.<\/p>\n<p><object><\/object><\/p>\n<p>In the interview Notch also revealed how he no longer plays Minecraft, as he&#8217;s simply played it too much already.<\/p>\n<p>As well as <a href=\"http:\/\/minecraft.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Minecraft<\/strong> <\/a>and  0x10c, Notch&#8217;s Mojang are also responsible for the card collecting  battle game <strong>Scrolls<\/strong>, and is collaborating with Oxeye on platform game <strong> Cobalt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last year Minecraft creator Marcus &#8216;Notch&#8217; Persson announced he was working on a new game, cryptically titled 0x10c (pronounced &#8216;ten to the C&#8221;).
