Version 5 comes as something completely separate from Adobe&#8217;s controversial subscription service, <a title=\"adobe creative cloud\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/r-i-p-adobe-creative-suite-adobe-goes-subscription-only-with-adobe-creative-cloud\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adobe Creative Cloud<\/a>. The new software can be purchased outright for $149 for <a title=\"windows\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/t\/windows\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows<\/a> and <a title=\"mac\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/t\/mac\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mac<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>New to Lightroom 5, is an advanced healing brush, an upright straightening tool, smart previews, video slideshows, and the ability to create photo books, similar to what Apple has built into iPhoto.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most exciting additions to Adobe Lightroom 5 is the upgraded healing brush. This tool has been in Lightroom and <a title=\"adobe photoshop\" href=\"http:\/\/adobe-photoshop-cs6.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Photoshop<\/a> for a can be used to remove unwanted objects from photos but it has been given more precise controls.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42893\" title=\"lightroom upright tool\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/06\/lightroom-upright-tool.jpg\" alt=\"lightroom upright tool\" width=\"600\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/06\/lightroom-upright-tool.jpg 700w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/06\/lightroom-upright-tool-300x175.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The new photo book feature is also very useful, allowing users to create albums with photo annotations, captions, and page numbers. Once you&#8217;ve completed your photo book, you can export it as a <a title=\"pdf\" href=\"http:\/\/en.softonic.com\/windows\/business-pdf\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PDF<\/a> or upload it to <a title=\"blurb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.blurb.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blurb<\/a> for printing. The new upright tool will automatically analyze your images and will make all of your photos leveled.<\/p>\n<p>The new Lightroom 5 will run on OS X 10.7, 10.8, Windows 7 with SP1 or Windows 8. The minimum system requirements for Mac are a multi-core Intel processor and 64-bit support.
