Now Steve Kondik, of the <a href=\"http:\/\/cyanogenmod.en.softonic.com\/android\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>CyanogenMod<\/strong><\/a> Team has announced a &#8216;<strong>Run in Incognito Mode<\/strong>&#8216; for apps. It is a way to stop apps accessing any of your personal data on your Android device.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-43204\" title=\"Cyanogenmod\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/06\/Cyanogenmod.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"568\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/06\/Cyanogenmod.png 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/06\/Cyanogenmod-300x173.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When you run an app in Incognito Mode, the app will not be able to access your <strong>contacts<\/strong>, <strong>messages<\/strong>, <strong>call logs<\/strong> or other data. The App will also be unable to access <strong>GPS data<\/strong> unless you turn Incognito mode off.<\/p>\n<p>This feature is focused on controlling personal data &#8211; Kondik states that it will not include related functions like <strong>ad-blocking<\/strong> or &#8216;<strong>device info spoofing<\/strong>&#8216; (giving an app false information). It&#8217;s very popular: the CyanogenMod claim it has over five million installs.
