Sometimes it&#8217;s impossible to track down which tab it is without having to cycle through all of them. Google is making it just a bit easier today by adding a &#8220;playing&#8221; icon to the tab of currently playing <a title=\"YouTube\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/b\/youtube\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube<\/a> videos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-46775\" title=\"youtube playing icon\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/08\/8-5-2013-3-00-44-PM.jpg\" alt=\"youtube playing icon\" width=\"519\" height=\"24\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/08\/8-5-2013-3-00-44-PM.jpg 519w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/08\/8-5-2013-3-00-44-PM-256x11.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 519px) 100vw, 519px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The playing icon is very subtle, as it&#8217;s just a small black triangle but it&#8217;s better than nothing to find out which video is playing. Other sites and services are incorporating this as well such as <a title=\"Spotify\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/b\/spotify\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Spotify<\/a> and <a title=\"Soundcloud\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/b\/soundcloud\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Soundcloud<\/a>, which is useful if you have tons of open tabs.<\/p>\n<p>This new icon can be seen from any modern browser, including <a title=\"Chrome\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/b\/chrome\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chrome<\/a>, <a title=\"Firefox\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/b\/firefox\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Firefox<\/a>, and <a title=\"Internet Explorer\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/b\/internet-explorer\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Internet Explorer<\/a>.
