A minor update to Facebook Messenger for Android<\/a> has rolled out today, bringing animated stickers<\/a> to the messaging service. Although there isn\u2019t an update for iOS<\/a> users, animated stickers still work<\/strong>. Stickers will also animate on the Facebook website.<\/p>\n

At the moment only three sticker sets are animated<\/strong>, which include Pusheen, Beast, and Anooki. When you send your friend a sticker from one of the three supported sets, the sticker will animate briefly and stop. Tapping on the sticker will get it to animate again.<\/p>\n

Stickers are a fun way to express emotions visually instead of using emoticons. Their popularity has grown tremendously and are now in most major messaging apps like LINE<\/a>, Kakaotalk<\/a>, and even Path<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to animated stickers. Facebook Messenger for Android now supports Croatian, Hungarian, Slovakian, and Traditional Chinese. Of course, this release also offers bug fixes and reliability improvements.<\/p>\n
