Here\u2019s what the site said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cGarageBand is free on the App Store for all iOS 7 compatible devices; additional GarageBand instruments and sounds are available with an in-app purchase. iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are free on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices activated on or after September 1, 2013.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This isn\u2019t too surprising as Apple made <a title=\"iWork, iMovie, iPhoto for iOS now free\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/iwork-garageband-iphoto-for-ios-now-free\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iPhoto, iMovie, and the iWork apps free<\/a> for newly activated iOS 7 devices in September. Making GarageBand free completes Apple\u2019s free app ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>To monetize GarageBand for iOS, Apple will allegedly pack the app with in-app purchases for things like sounds, instruments, and more. This business model is very popular with mobile games and gives customers the flexibility to purchase only the features they want.<\/p>\n<p>Apple is holding an <a title=\"Apple Oct. 22nd event\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/apple-asks-developers-to-submit-app-for-os-x-mavericks-before-oct-22nd-event\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">event tomorrow<\/a> where it\u2019s likely to reveal news of OS X Mavericks, iOS, and new hardware.
