On the desktop side of things, users can expect &#8220;<a title=\"Mozilla to block Firefox plugins by default to increase speed and security\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/mozilla-to-block-firefox-plugins-by-default-to-increase-speed-and-security\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click to Play Plugins<\/a>&#8221; to be enabled by default, which disables most plugins (Flash being the exception) until you click on them and a new Firefox OS app manager. <a title=\"Android\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/t\/android\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Android<\/a> users get a new start screen, which Mozilla calls &#8220;Home.&#8221; The new Home page will allow users quick access to things like bookmarks, browsing history, favorites, and their Reading List.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-54492\" title=\"Firefox for Android Home screen\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/11\/Home-phones-568x409.png\" alt=\"Firefox for Android Home screen\" width=\"568\" height=\"409\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/11\/Home-phones-568x409.png 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/11\/Home-phones-256x184.png 256w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2013\/11\/Home-phones.png 1295w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click to Play Plugins is being implemented because of the security risk of auto-enabled plugins. Now most plugins will have to be enabled by the user, reducing the risk of running older, more vulnerable plugins. The new App Manager is a tool for developers to experiment with HTML5 applications that run inside the Firefox Browser. This will help Firefox developers create applications that work for the desktop and for Firefox OS.
