Yahoo! Mail<\/a>, as you know, is one of the oldest email services still in existence. Millions of people used it for years\u00a0and were perfectly satisfied. But things change and a few months ago, Yahoo! decided to have a bit of a graphical makeover.<\/p>\n

The aesthetic results were okay, but many aficionados turned their noses up at being deprived of some important functions, like tabs.<\/p>\n

For those who don’t want to resign themselves to the new Yahoo! Mail interface, however, there’s good news: you can get the old one back\u00a0with a few simple steps.<\/p>\n

How to get the old\u00a0Yahoo! Mail interface\u00a0back if you use Internet Explorer<\/h3>\n

For those who browse with Microsoft’s browser, the procedure is simple. Sign in to your Yahoo inbox and select select Compatibility View Settings<\/strong> from the Tools <\/strong>menu.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0Add this website<\/strong> field, type\u00a0yahoo.com<\/strong>, click on\u00a0Add<\/strong> and then on\u00a0Close<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Your email page will be reloaded with the old interface, complete with tabs!<\/strong><\/p>\n

How to get the old\u00a0Yahoo! Mail interface\u00a0back\u00a0if you use Chrome<\/h3>\n

If you use Google’s browser, you can use an extension that changes the user agent<\/strong>. The procedure is simple and totally\u00a0legal.<\/p>\n

First, go into your Yahoo! Mail inbox. Then install User-Agent Switcher<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now simply click on the black mask that you’ll see to the right of the Chrome\u00a0address bar.<\/p>\n

On the next page,\u00a0select version 9<\/strong>. Your email page will automatically\u00a0reload with the old interface<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To return to the default user agent, select Chrome Default<\/strong> in the\u00a0User-Agent Switcher menu.<\/p>\n

Firefox and Opera<\/h3>\n

During our tests with these two browsers, we weren’t able to achieve any great results.<\/p>\n

In the case of Firefox<\/strong>, using Internet Explorer 8 and\u00a09 and the User-Agent Switcher, we managed to get the old Yahoo! Mail\u00a0interface, but almost none of the elements were clickable.<\/p>\n

With Opera<\/strong>,\u00a0(again, using the User-Agent Switcher) the interface remained unchanged regardless of the user agent we selected.<\/p>\n

It hard to say how long this trick will last, but for the moment, it’s the only way to immediately regain\u00a0the old Yahoo! Mail interface!<\/p>\n
