Threshold is not the name of a single version of Windows, but rather a range of developments being pushed to each of Microsoft&#8217;s platforms.<\/p>\n<p>All three share a common Windows NT core, but beyond that Microsoft wants a more similar experience overall. This could mean common <strong>office apps<\/strong>, a single <strong>app store<\/strong>, greater <strong>Bing integration<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second Microsoft codename taken from the iconic <strong>Halo<\/strong> games series.
