We&#8217;ve created a fun test so that you can see for yourself. Answer truthfully, record your answers and find out your score at the end!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>1. Besides Google, what other search engines have you used this month?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> a) There other search engines besides Google?<\/li>\n<li>b) I use both Google and <a href=\"http:\/\/bing.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Bing<\/a><\/li>\n<li>c) I use mostly\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bing.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Bing<\/a> or another search engine<\/li>\n<li>d) Honestly, I hardly use Google<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Your primary email account is&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) <a href=\"http:\/\/gmail-1.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Gmail<\/a><\/li>\n<li>b) Hotmail Live <a href=\"http:\/\/outlook-com.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Outlook<\/a><\/li>\n<li>c) <a href=\"http:\/\/yahoo-mail.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Yahoo! Mail<\/a><\/li>\n<li>d) My internet provider or other email provider<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. Before going to a restaurant&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) I search for it using Google, look for the address using <a href=\"http:\/\/google-maps.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Google Maps<\/a>, get a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/street-view-on-google-maps.en.softonic.com\/android\">Street View<\/a> of the place and map out the entire route there. I also look at the Google reviews given by other visitors.<\/li>\n<li>b) I search Google to find the restaurant&#8217;s website and make reservations<\/li>\n<li> c) I look up the phone number of the place online and call up to make reservations<\/li>\n<li>d) I go directly to the restaurant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4. Searching for something on the internet is&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> a) Googling<\/li>\n<li>b) Searching Google<\/li>\n<li>c) Searching the internet<\/li>\n<li>d) A waste of time. I prefer the yellow pages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5. My phone is a&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) Google Nexus-branded smartphone<\/li>\n<li>b) Android phone by another manufacturer<\/li>\n<li>c) iOS or Windows Phone<\/li>\n<li>d) Other<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>6. If I don&#8217;t find what I want on a page&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) I go to Google.com and search there<\/li>\n<li>b) I go back to Google and search for what interests me, clicking on different links<\/li>\n<li> c) I use the search field included in the page I am visiting<\/li>\n<li>d) I give up and try again later when I have more time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>7. If I want to know what the weather will be like tomorrow&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a)\u00a0I search\u00a0&#8220;<em>weather in my city<\/em>&#8221; using Google<\/li>\n<li> b)\u00a0I look for\u00a0weather information from other websites by searching in Google<\/li>\n<li>c) I go to my favorite weather or news website to get weather info<\/li>\n<li>d) I look out the window and see what the weather looks like<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>8. Which cloud storage service do you store your documents in?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) <a href=\"http:\/\/google-drive.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Google Drive<\/a><\/li>\n<li>b) <a href=\"http:\/\/windows-live-skydrive.en.softonic.com\/web-appsskydrive.softonic.com\/aplicaciones-web\">Skydrive<\/a><\/li>\n<li>c) <a href=\"http:\/\/dropbox.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Dropbox<\/a><\/li>\n<li>d) Other or nowhere, as I don&#8217;t trust the cloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>9. Do you have Google search history enabled?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) Of course! I want to be able to review everything I&#8217;ve previously searched<\/li>\n<li>b) No, I don&#8217;t know why I would need it<\/li>\n<li>c) I had no idea this existed<\/li>\n<li>d) Google, the less you know me, the better!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>10. If Google ceased to exist tomorrow&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) Half of my life would go away: contacts, photos, emails, documents&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>b) It would bother me a lot but I could survive using other search engines<\/li>\n<li>c) It&#8217;s okay, I still have\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bing.softonic.com\/aplicaciones-web\">Bing<\/a><\/li>\n<li>d) I would receive a lesson in humility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>11. When you do a search and don&#8217;t see results on the first page&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) I refine the search with quotes, operators (AND, OR&#8230;)\u00a0and domain filters\u00a0(site:)<\/li>\n<li>b) I refine the search with quotes<\/li>\n<li>c) I try other combinations of words<\/li>\n<li>d) I go to page two, and three, and four, and five&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>13. Before making a purchase on the internet&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a)\u00a0I consult Google&#8217;s opinion of the store and look for cheaper stores in Google<\/li>\n<li>b) I do a quick search to see if it&#8217;s cheaper elsewhere<\/li>\n<li>c) I use other price comparison engines like Yahoo! or Bing<\/li>\n<li>d) I prefer to go to into actual stores<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>14. Watching a series, an actor looks familiar but you can&#8217;t remember his name. What do you do?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) I immediately launch Google on my smartphone and search for information<\/li>\n<li> b) I open the <a href=\"http:\/\/imdb-movies-tv.en.softonic.com\/iphone\">IMDB<\/a> app and search for information<\/li>\n<li>c) I look him up later when I finish the series<\/li>\n<li>d) I say &#8220;never mind, I&#8217;ll remember them sooner or later&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>15. If you need to know what 10% of $150 Australian dollars is in USD&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a) I type in Google &#8220;10% of 150 AUD in dollars&#8221;<\/li>\n<li> b) I type in Google &#8220;150 AUD to dollars&#8221; and then calculate 10% of that using the calculator<\/li>\n<li>c) I search Google for a currency converter and then use a calculator<\/li>\n<li> d) I check the exchange rate for Australian dollars and calculate it myself<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Score<\/h2>\n<p>To determine your level of addiction to Google, we use a simple point system:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>For each A answer:<\/strong> add 10 points<\/li>\n<li><strong>For each B answer:<\/strong> add 7 points<\/li>\n<li><strong>For each C answer:<\/strong> add 4 points<\/li>\n<li><strong>For each D answer:<\/strong> add 1 point<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You got it? Now calculate your score.<\/p>\n<h2>Results<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Over 140 points: You&#8217;re totally hooked on Google<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/GoogleLove.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"83\" height=\"83\" \/>You can&#8217;t imagine life without\u00a0Google. It&#8217;s such a part of your life that, if it ceased to exist, you&#8217;d feel empty and would go through withdrawal. <strong>You basically use it for everything<\/strong>, and love it. For you, there are other search engines, but you like to use the rest of the Google services, from <a href=\"http:\/\/gmail-1.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Gmail<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/google-maps.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Maps<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/google-drive.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Drive<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/google-chrome.en.softonic.com\/\">Chrome<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/google-calendar.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Between 100 and 140 points: You&#8217;re almost an addict<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/GoogleCasiLove.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"81\" height=\"81\" \/>You&#8217;re considering entering the Betty Ford Center. You&#8217;re aware of other search engines, but rarely use them. You use many Google applications like Gmail, Chrome, and\u00a0Maps, but only because they work better than the competition. In other cases, you prefer services from other companies such as Facebook or <a href=\"http:\/\/dropbox.en.softonic.com\/web-apps\">Dropbox<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Between 50 and 100 points: To you, Google is just a tool<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/GoogleMeDaIgual.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"81\" height=\"81\" \/>You could take it or leave it. You acknowledge that Google search is effective, fast, and very useful, but so is Bing, or whatever other search engine is put in front of you. You prefer to avoid Google applications whenever possible, because you don&#8217;t like the idea that you&#8217;re giving so much personal data to a single company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Less than 50 points: You secretly hate Google<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/GoogleHate.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"81\" height=\"81\" \/>With this score, you can rest easy: you&#8217;re definitely not addicted to Google. More than that, you don&#8217;t care about Google and avoid using it whenever possible.
