Previously, Google Maps for iOS displayed various routes before you began navigation but it didn&#8217;t have the ability to reroute you if you ran into traffic. That changes today as Maps for iOS will display faster route notifications while in navigation mode.<\/p>\n<p>Google&#8217;s purchase of social mapping company Waze has helped the company <a title=\"Google Maps integrates traffic alerts from Waze\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/google-maps-integrates-traffic-alerts-from-waze\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">better integrate traffic alerts in its Maps products<\/a> and it&#8217;s likely this update leverages Waze data.
