DirectX 12 is the latest version of the essential API for gaming and multimedia on Windows PCs, and follows DirectX 11 which was released in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>No details have yet been announced, so we don&#8217;t know much about DirectX 12 yet. This latest collection of APIs will be presented to developers, but it is of interest to PC users, as it will open possibilities for <strong>improved graphics and performance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>DirectX 12 will be explained by Microsoft&#8217;s Graphics Manager, Anuj Gosalia in a session called &#8216;DirectX: Evolving Microsoft&#8217;s Graphics Platform.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>DirectX 11 was released alongside <a href=\"http:\/\/features.en.softonic.com\/b\/windows-7\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows 7<\/a>, so it&#8217;s likely that DirectX 12 will be released when Windows 9 comes out, which is expected next year.
