Ubisoft’s highly anticipated open world game, Watch Dogs<\/a><\/em>, will arrive May 27th. The company announced a delay<\/a> for the game back in October, promising to launch in spring 2014. They’ve made good on their promise and the game will launch on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One simultaneously. The Wii U version is delayed with no announced release date.<\/p>\n

Watch Dogs<\/em> takes place in Chicago in the not-too-distant-future. Surveillance cameras are installed everywhere to curb crime and to spy on citizens. You’ll play as Aiden Pearce, a vigilante that can hack into various electronic systems around the city.<\/p>\n

Although Watch Dogs<\/em> is available on so many platforms, Ubisoft promises the same experience for everyone. “So, same storyline, same gameplay, all the same mechanics, innovations. All the same missions, if you want, the same world,” says Watch Dogs<\/em> senior producer Dominic Guay.<\/p>\n

When asked about what’s different between the versions, Guay spoke about scaling. “So it’s stuff like the amount of civilians in the street, the amount of cars in the street, the detail in the animation, or how sophisticated some reactions are to some of your actions. So some of those things are scaled down.” Graphics will obviously be different between current-gen, next-gen, and PC.<\/p>\n
