The app download is now half the size and has been optimized for low resolution screens.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg spoke about the <a title=\"MWC 2014: Facebook targets emerging markets with Internet.org\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/mwc-2014-facebook-targets-emerging-markets-with-internet-org\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">importance of emerging markets<\/a> during this year&#8217;s Mobile World Congress. This update to Instagram ensures popular devices like the Samsung Galaxy Y are supported. &#8220;We\u2019ve worked to make sure that Instagram feels native and at home on any Android device,&#8221; says Instagram in a blog post.<\/p>\n<p>The interface has changed a bit, with new icons and a redesigned camera screen. The simplified icons make navigation more intuitive and can scale better to different screen sizes. The app is also much faster and more responsive across the board.<\/p>\n<p>This Instagram update doesn&#8217;t bring any new features but it will help Facebook reach more users around the world. The last major feature announcement was for <a title=\"Instagram Direct launched. Send photos and videos direct to friends.\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/instagram-direct-launched-send-photos-and-videos-direct-to-friends\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instagram Direct<\/a>, which allows users to send private messages.
