Here, we&#8217;ll show you how it differs from the original version so that you can decide if it&#8217;s worth making the switch.<\/p>\n<p>WhatsApp Plus is a modified version of <a title=\"WhatsApp for Android\" href=\"http:\/\/whatsapp-android.en.softonic.com\/android\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WhatsApp for Android<\/a>, created by the Spanish developer Rafalete in 2012. The app itself is free, but the user license is the same as WhatsApp. It&#8217;s also known as <strong>WhatsApp+<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>WhatsApp Plus\u00a0Holo, <\/strong>and has a blue icon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/03\/Screenshot_2014-03-24-14-20-281.jpg\" alt=\"WhatsApp Plus\" width=\"307\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We still don&#8217;t know if using WhatsApp Plus\u00a0is <strong>legal \u2013 <\/strong>we&#8217;ve asked WhatsApp for clarification with no response \u2013 but what we do know is that it works very well. Installing WhatsApp Plus is really simple, but it does require\u00a0removing the original WhatsApp.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"WhatsApp Plus\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/03\/Screenshot_2014-03-24-14-22-00.jpg\" alt=\"WhatsApp Plus\" width=\"307\" height=\"393\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The big question is, <strong>is it worth deleting the original<\/strong> WhatsApp for a new one? First, we have to see what functions WhatsApp Plus has added.<\/p>\n<h2>Visual themes added<\/h2>\n<p>The most notable feature of WhatsApp Plus (and why it was created in the first place), is the ability to completely change the look of WhatsApp, which can be done by choosing new <strong>styles or visual\u00a0themes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/03\/Screenshot_2014-03-24-14-26-571.jpg\" alt=\"WhatsApp Plus\" width=\"307\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Themes are installed directly from WhatsApp Plus, and are free. There are <strong>over 700 themes, <\/strong>and you can sort by downloads, name, version, and date.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/03\/Screenshot_2014-03-24-17-03-41.jpg\" alt=\"WhatsApp Plus\" width=\"307\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>The GTA V Plus Skin for WhatsApp\u200b<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The original WhatsApp doesn&#8217;t have anything similar; the Plus themes not only change the background of the chat, but the bottom of the contact list, and the colors of the bar and texts.<\/p>\n<h2>New emoticons added<\/h2>\n<p>If WhatsApp doesn&#8217;t have enough already, another feature of WhatsApp Plus is the <strong>addition of new emoticons<\/strong>, including the <a title=\"New emoji and emoticons for Google Hangouts\" href=\"http:\/\/features.en.softonic.com\/new-emoji-and-emoticons-for-google-hangouts\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">smileys from\u00a0Google Hangouts<\/a>.
