Users will be able to quickly share photos, video, stickers, and voice from the <strong>new compose screen<\/strong>. These features were hidden behind the paperclip button in previous versions.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the most intriguing new feature is the ability to quickly take a <a title=\"11 cool ways to take Frontback photos\" href=\"http:\/\/features.en.softonic.com\/frontback-11-selfie-ideas-android-ios\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">selfie<\/a>. Tapping on the camera button will turn half your screen into a camera viewfinder to <strong>quickly take a selfie<\/strong>. Of course you can switch to the rear camera with a tap of a button. This feature already exists in <a title=\"WhatsApp for iOS\" href=\"http:\/\/whatsapp.en.softonic.com\/iphone\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WhatsApp<\/a>, which was <a title=\"Facebook to acquire WhatsApp for $16 billion\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/facebook-buys-whatsapp-for-16-billion\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">purchased by Facebook<\/a> in February.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65532\" title=\"FB Messenger selfie\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/04\/FB-Messenger-selfie.jpg\" alt=\"FB Messenger selfie\" width=\"320\" height=\"568\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Video attachments are new to Facebook Messenger. While the app <strong>won&#8217;t allow you to record video<\/strong>, you can attach previously recorded video to your chats.<\/p>\n<p>iOS users will get the update starting today but Android users will have to wait a bit.
