But the truth is that this trick can be extended to other web browsers as well. That is, you can use Firefox extensions to get features from the competition without having to switch to a different browser.<\/p>\n<p>The following extensions will enable you to have the best from each web browser (Opera, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari) while sticking with your dear old Firefox. Choose the ones you like best and tailor Firefox to your taste.<\/p>\n<h2>Opera<\/h2>\n<p>This is by far the browser with most features included by default, so you&#8217;ll need a bunch of extensions to put Firefox on the same level.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2008\/11\/fastdial.png\" alt=\"Add features from other browsers to Firefox\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>Fast Dial<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is Opera&#8217;s homepage, where you can set your favorite websites for quick access. You can have the same in Firefox with the <a href=\"http:\/\/userlogos.org\/extensions\/fastdial\">Fast Dial<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/4810\">Speed Dial<\/a> extensions, and also with online services such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.homepagestartup.com\/\">Homepage Startup<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2008\/11\/allinone.png\" alt=\"Add features from other browsers to Firefox\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>Sidebar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Firefox has already a sidebar where you can load Bookmarks and History, but the Opera Sidebar is much more functional. You can now take advantage of all its features by adding the following extensions to Firefox.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2008\/11\/chrometheme.png\" alt=\"Add features from other browsers to Firefox\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>Google Chrome Theme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Having a Chrome-based Firefox theme will grant you much more space for web browsing. The basic features are included in <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/8782\">Chromifox<\/a>, but if you want further functionality you can use <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/es-ES\/firefox\/addon\/8790\">Chrome Package<\/a> (experimental).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2008\/11\/fastdial.png\" alt=\"Add features from other browsers to Firefox\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>New page<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Unlike Opera&#8217;s Fast Dial, Chrome&#8217;s new page includes the most visited websites, not the ones you select by yourself. Use <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/5338\">New Tab Button on Tab Right<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Internet Explorer<\/h2>\n<p>Hated by many yet widely used by many others, you can also take advantage of some of its latest features in Firefox with the following extensions.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2008\/11\/ietheme.png\" alt=\"Add features from other browsers to Firefox\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>Internet Explorer Theme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>OK, it&#8217;s not the cutest design in the world but somehow it can make you feel home. You can use the <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/4583\">AeroFox Basic<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/4988\">Vista Aero<\/a> themes but if you feel really nostalgic then you should definitely try the <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/7944\">IE6 theme<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2008\/11\/slices.png\" alt=\"Add features from other browsers to Firefox\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>WebSlices<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This new feature &#8211; to be implemented in Internet Explorer 8 &#8211; helps you keep up with frequently updated sites and can be easily replicated with the <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/8494\">WebChunks<\/a> extension.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2008\/11\/activities.png\" alt=\"Add features from other browsers to Firefox\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now also known as Accelerators, these special links give you fast access to useful activities on different websites. Use <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/5338\">New Tab Button on Tab Right<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Safari<\/h2>\n<p>A decent Mac browser whose Windows version doesn&#8217;t seem to be that successful. Even if this is the weirdo in the browser bunch, you can still make use of its best features with these Firefox extensions:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2008\/11\/safaritheme.png\" alt=\"Add features from other browsers to Firefox\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>Safari Theme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Being probably one of the most elegant browser designs ever made, it&#8217;s hard to find exact copies of it. The closest you can get is by installing <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/8058\">JetFoxAqua<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/3966\">Macbird<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2008\/11\/snapback.png\" alt=\"Add features from other browsers to Firefox\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>Snapback<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This Safari feature lets you set a starting point so you can easily go back to the original search results or top level of any website. And guess what?
