That&#8217;s exactly what we thought after <strong>trying it at E3 2014<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--[\/lead]--><\/p>\n<p><!--[body]--><\/p>\n<p>Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel gives you the ability to play with <strong>four new characters in a new world<\/strong>: the moon Pandora. New weapons and experiencing the struggles of low gravity are the main attractions in this latest installment of the saga.<\/p>\n<h3>Battle it out in low gravity<\/h3>\n<p>The main feature is the exciting new world &#8211; <strong>Pandora<\/strong>, a low gravity satellite where high altitude jumps are the main attraction of the gameplay. There\u2019s also another interesting development: there\u2019s <strong>no oxygen<\/strong> in the atmosphere. The laser allow you to cut enemies, and with the weird weapon combinations you can also wield a laser weapon which can shoot acid fire. In addition, a new element, <strong>Cryo<\/strong>, has been added, so that now enemies can be frozen.<\/p>\n<h3>New characters and skills<\/h3>\n<p>There are also four new playable characters &#8211; <strong>Nisha, Athena, Claptrap<\/strong> (the robot) and <strong>Wilhelm<\/strong>. Each comes with their own unique abilities, such as using drones and kinetic powers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-68118\" title=\"Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image031-568x318.jpg\" alt=\"Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel\" width=\"568\" height=\"318\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image031-568x318.jpg 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image031-256x143.jpg 256w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image031-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image031-238x134.jpg 238w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image031.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>I played Athena<\/strong>, more by chance than by choice (demo stations were pre-allocated). I liked the power of her <strong>shield<\/strong>, which allows you to absorb bullets and throw your enemies. What surprised me during my fifteen minute demo is how <strong>varied and agile<\/strong> the game is. The aerial battles are fun and all the characters have a special move that lets them strike mid-air.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, this is still a pure Borderlands. The <strong>mixture of RPG and action<\/strong> inside a giant co-op mode still works really well. There are shots fired at close range, dozens of enemies, and millions of weapons. The introduction of oxygen to the game component really gives a new layer of <strong>strategy<\/strong> to the fighting: it\u2019s easy to run out of oxygen in the heat of battle, and then start to lose energy. You\u2019ve got to stop everything you&#8217;re doing and find a source of fresh air if you don\u2019t want to die.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-68119\" title=\"Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image05-568x319.jpg\" alt=\"Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel\" width=\"568\" height=\"319\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image05-568x319.jpg 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image05-256x143.jpg 256w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image05-800x450.jpg 800w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image05-664x374.jpg 664w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image05-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image05-238x134.jpg 238w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/Image05.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Graphically, it\u2019s very similar to the previous versions, so despite a few tweaks here and there, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is <strong>not a huge step visually<\/strong>. That said, it&#8217;s the recognized visual style of the franchise..<\/p>\n<p><!--[\/body]--><\/p>\n<p><!--[conclusion]--><\/p>\n<h3>Nothing hugely different, but still hotly anticipated<\/h3>\n<p>A lot of gamers have been eagerly awaiting Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel This third version <strong>isn&#8217;t so different<\/strong> to previous Borderlands, but it does have some interesting new features to amuse players.
