Thankfully, the app received a <strong>major update<\/strong> today, bringing a completely redesigned app and <strong>new browser extension<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The app isn&#8217;t too different but gets a prettier and easier to use interface. It&#8217;s still a great database for all your passwords, credit cards, documents, and more.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-68308\" title=\"1Password for Windows\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/1P4-Win-Favorites-568x405.png\" alt=\"1Password for Windows\" width=\"568\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/1P4-Win-Favorites-568x405.png 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/1P4-Win-Favorites-256x182.png 256w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/1P4-Win-Favorites.png 1048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>New to 1Password for Windows is the new <strong>Weak Passwords<\/strong> section, which lets you know which passwords are weak and should be updated. The app also features &#8220;Watchtower,&#8221; which alerts you about\u00a0<strong>security breaches<\/strong> so you can change your password.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-68309\" title=\"1Password extension\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/1Password-extension-259x351.png\" alt=\"1Password extension\" width=\"259\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/1Password-extension.png 259w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/1Password-extension-188x256.png 188w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 259px) 100vw, 259px\" \/>Perhaps the biggest improvement is the browser extension, which is almost as good as the Mac menu bar tool. You can search for sites, look up favorites and tags, and generate passwords. Credit cards and identities can also be filled in via the extension.<\/p>\n<p>1Password for Windows does not come cheap though. If you&#8217;re a new user, a <strong>new license will cost $50<\/strong> ($25 for an upgrade).
