There’s just something incredibly satisfying about sharing animated GIFs<\/strong>. Twitter<\/a> understands this, so today, the company introduced support for GIFs in your timeline.<\/p>\n

\"YES<\/p>\n

GIFs in your timeline won’t animate until you click on them<\/strong>, which helps save bandwidth. Once clicked, a GIF will loop infinitely until you click on it again to pause.<\/p>\n

Things work the same in the mobile apps. GIFS show up with a blue “play” button, which expands the tapped tweet and starts playing the GIF.<\/p>\n

Facebook still hasn’t built animated GIF support into its timeline but added support for them in its messages<\/a> yesterday. Unfortunately the feature currently only works on the web.<\/p>\n
