Unpatched system may allow hackers to <strong>steal your cookies<\/strong> and other data using Flash (.SWF) files.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft also released a slew of <a title=\"Microsoft Security Bulletin MS14-038-Critical\" href=\"https:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/library\/security\/ms14-038\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">patches<\/a> yesterday for its <a title=\"Windows tag\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/t\/windows\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows<\/a> operating systems and <a title=\"Internet Explorer news\" href=\"http:\/\/news.en.softonic.com\/b\/internet-explorer\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Internet Explorer<\/a> browsers to fix this issue.<\/p>\n<p>The security flaw was exploited by a Google Engineer, <a title=\"Michele Spagnuolo\" href=\"http:\/\/miki.it\/blog\/2014\/7\/8\/abusing-jsonp-with-rosetta-flash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michele Spagnuolo<\/a>. He created a tool that successfully used this well known exploit, which finally got the attention of major tech companies. Google, Microsoft, Twitter, and more have already <strong>patched their websites<\/strong> to protect against this hack.<\/p>\n<p>Still, you it&#8217;s better to make sure you&#8217;re running the latest version of Adobe Flash (<strong>14.0.0.145<\/strong>) in all your browsers. If you use <a title=\"Google Chrome for Windows\" href=\"http:\/\/google-chrome.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Chrome<\/a> or <a title=\"Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7\" href=\"http:\/\/internet-explorer-10.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Internet Explorer 10<\/a>\/<a title=\"IE 11 for Windows 7\" href=\"http:\/\/internet-explorer-11-windows-7.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">11<\/a>, Flash will <strong>automatically update<\/strong> in the background. If you use <a title=\"Firefox for Windows\" href=\"http:\/\/firefox.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Firefox<\/a>, you&#8217;ll want to grab the latest Flash Player update <a title=\"Adobe Flash Player\" href=\"http:\/\/get.adobe.com\/flashplayer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Adobe&#8217;s Flash Player pushes updates automatically, but it could be a few days before you see it.
