Google updated its Chrome<\/a> browser for Windows, Mac, and Android today. Most of the changes are under the hood, bringing stability and performance<\/strong> improvements.<\/p>\n

For desktop users, you can look forward to 26 separate security updates. Linux users get a special Chrome App Launcher<\/strong>, which has been available for Windows<\/a> and Mac<\/a> for a while now.<\/p>\n

For Android<\/a> users, rendering pages has been improved on non-mobile optimized sites. This means sites without mobile specific enhancements will look a bit better. Google Doodles<\/strong> return to the new tab page so you won’t miss out on obscure holidays.<\/p>\n

How to update<\/h3>\n

Windows\/Mac\/Linux<\/strong>: With Chrome open, click on the menu (three slashes) and then About Google Chrome<\/em>. Chrome should automatically detect the new update and install it for you. You’ll need to relaunch your browser to finish the update.<\/p>\n

Android<\/strong>: Head over to your Google Play app and tap on the menu button (top left) to bring out the navigation menu. Tap on My Apps<\/em> to check for the update. Alternatively, you can download it from the links below.<\/p>\n
