Finally, Facebook engineers have announced that they&#8217;ve found and fixed a bug which will reduce crashing by 50%.<\/p>\n<p>The blog post, entitled &#8216;Debugging file corruption on iOS&#8217; explains the difficulties engineers have in <strong>finding and fixing bugs<\/strong> in an app that has code contributions from hundreds of developers. It&#8217;s a pretty dense and technical article, but the conclusion is simple. Although identifying a bug can take a long time, fixing it is much faster, and in this case only took a matter of hours.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook&#8217;s iOS app has a monthly update cycle, with the latest one arriving yesterday, on August 12th.
