The company made good on its promise today by rolling out <a title=\"What is two-step verification?\" href=\"http:\/\/features.en.softonic.com\/what-is-two-step-verification\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">two-factor authentication<\/a> again. The feature briefly appeared in June but disappeared for unknown reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Now when you try to log into your iCloud, you\u2019ll have to provide a phone number for Apple to <strong>text you verification codes<\/strong>. While it\u2019s easy for hackers to gain access to online accounts, it\u2019s much harder for a hacker to steal or hack into your phone. Enter the number on the site and you\u2019ll get access to your account. You\u2019ll also <strong>receive an email<\/strong> alerting you someone accessed your iCloud account. This ensures you are aware of any and all activity on your iCloud.<\/p>\n<p>But what happens if your phone gets lost or broken? You can specify another phone number to receive the verification code.
