Europeans living in Central European Time will get the update at 7pm (6pm in Britain).<\/p>\n<p>iOS isn&#8217;t a radical design change like iOS 7 was, but it does have some significant new features:<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a new <strong>Photos<\/strong> app, with new editing features, improved search, and &#8216;smart albums&#8217; for organizing your images. The updated <strong>Messages<\/strong> app allows you to record sound (similar to WhatsApp), send video, and share your location.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most interesting developments is in <strong>keyboards<\/strong>. For the first time ever in iOS, you&#8217;ll be able to <a title=\"The best keyboards for iOS 8\" href=\"http:\/\/features.en.softonic.com\/the-best-keyboards-for-ios-8-1\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">install alternative keyboards<\/a> like <strong>SwiftKey,<\/strong> from the App Store. A new <strong>Health<\/strong> app manages your health and fitness data, which will be especially useful when combined with next year&#8217;s release of the Apple Watch.<\/p>\n<p>You can check for your iOS 8 update by going into <strong>Settings<\/strong>, <strong>General<\/strong> and <strong>Software Update<\/strong>.
