Apple continues to fix performance issues with the <strong>upcoming iOS 8.1.1 update<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The first test build of iOS 8.1.1 was sent to developers yesterday so the update should be coming soon. In the update&#8217;s release notes, Apple specifically states that the <strong>iPhone 4s and iPad 2 will be getting performance fixes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>When iOS 8 was released, I was surprised to learn that Apple was providing such old devices with the operating system. I&#8217;ve heard from several people that the update slowed down their older iPhone or iPad dramatically with slow opening apps, jerky animations and lag in general.
