In its sixth year, App Planet is bigger than ever and will play host to more than 200 exhibitors in Hall 8.1. This the first attempt by Microsoft to build its mobile operating system with the same core as its desktop equivalent. The company is hoping that this strategy will mean the depth and quality of its apps will significantly improve, given the build once deploy across multiple form factors approach it will enable.<br \/>\nMWC 2015 will also see the first Windows 10 for phones smartphones make their debut with both Microsoft and its hardware partner Acer expected to launch their own range of devices running the mobile OS.<\/p>\n<h3>Connected sports<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-79022\" title=\"Babolat-Play-racquet-smartphone\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/BabolatPlayWishlist_BlogSlider-568x284.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"568\" height=\"284\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/BabolatPlayWishlist_BlogSlider-568x284.jpg 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/BabolatPlayWishlist_BlogSlider-256x128.jpg 256w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/BabolatPlayWishlist_BlogSlider.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In MWC\u2019s newly renamed Innovation City area (formerly Connected City), there will be some interesting demonstrations of the advancements in mobile sports technology. Sports motion capture tech company Xensr and Red Bull BMX stunt riders will show real-time 3D spatial mapping technology, biometric wearables and connected point of view camera integration. Tennis brand Babolat will also demonstrate Babolat Play, the world\u2019s first connected racquet, which can synchronize your data with your smartphone.<\/p>\n<h3>A look into the future<\/h3>\n<p>New for 2015 is the \u201c4 years from now\u201d program, which takes a look at upcoming trends.
