This week on Click-Swipe-Play I check out three fantastic retro-styled games<\/strong>: Shooty Skies, The Escapist: The Walking Dead, and PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist.<\/p>\n

I kick things off with The Escapist: The Walking Dead (Windows<\/a>), a game that blends The Escapist<\/a>\u2019s top-down, prison break themed action with the zombie infested Walking Dead. During your adventure you meet characters from the comic and TV show<\/strong> who you can use to build a squad of survivors to help you survive the apocalypse.<\/p>\n

The YouTube phenom PewDiePie\u2019s game is next – PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist (iOS<\/a>|Android<\/a>). Lifting inspiration from classic 16-bit games like Megaman or Mario, this is actually a really fun platformer<\/strong> – a pleasant surprise for anyone who was expecting a quick cash-in.<\/p>\n

This week\u2019s final minute is dedicated to Shooty Skies (iOS<\/a>), the latest title from the minds that bought you Cross Road<\/a>. This top-down shooter retains the same humor, bold colors, and blocky art of the duo\u2019s previous game. Add to this its responsive controls, and you have a game that\u2019s hard to put down<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
