However, this could soon end with a new invention from Huawei: <strong>a battery that charges 48% in just 5 minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This new battery from the Chinese company is made with lithium ions and graphite-coated anodes. Yeah, it sounds like Klingon to us too, but what we do know is that <strong>these materials make charging really fast<\/strong>. So fast, in fact, that it can charge a 300 mAh battery to halfway in just 300 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>But that&#8217;s not all, because Huawei is making a smaller capacity model of 600 mAh that would charge 78% in 5 minutes. This second model would be <strong>planned for wearables like smartwatches<\/strong>, devices that are used for nearly the entire length of a day.<\/p>\n<p>In both cases, Huawei hasn&#8217;t indicated when it will make this technology available for sale, although we do know one thing about it:<strong> it will need a special charger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know about you, but if they can promise us rapid charging, <strong>we don&#8217;t mind shelling out more money on gadgets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Huawei isn&#8217;t the only one making batteries<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to Huawei, <strong>other companies are also promising rapid charging<\/strong>.
