Although it was no technical wonder, lacking colors, design and images, it was based on the same concept containing text and links to information that we still use today.<\/p>\n<p>The webpage was launched by Tim Berners-Lee on December 20<sup>th<\/sup>, 1990, in the CERN, although was not put online until the summer of 1991. The webpage explained the development of the <strong>WWW (World Wide Web),<\/strong> providing information and links. In fact, it\u2019s still online and can be viewed <a href=\"https:\/\/articles-images.sftcdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/12\/primera-pagina-web.jpg\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-84241\" title=\"primera-pagina-web\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2015\/12\/primera-pagina-web-568x217.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"568\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2015\/12\/primera-pagina-web-568x217.jpg 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2015\/12\/primera-pagina-web-256x98.jpg 256w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2015\/12\/primera-pagina-web.jpg 1363w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Berners-Lee and his team also developed what would have been one of the first web browsers ever, in order for them to view their webpage.<\/p>\n<p>Although the <strong>CERN<\/strong> is better known today in the field of physics, it played a key role in the development of what we now know as the Internet in the 90s.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday marked the 25th anniversary of the first webpage EVER!
