{"id":85750,"date":"2016-02-19T13:49:56","date_gmt":"2016-02-19T11:49:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/onsoftware.en.softonic.com\/?p=85750"},"modified":"2025-07-02T00:04:26","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T07:04:26","slug":"microsofts-big-secret-revealed-what-will-succeed-your-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms-articles.softonic.io\/en\/microsofts-big-secret-revealed-what-will-succeed-your-pc\/","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft&#8217;s big secret revealed: what will succeed your PC?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft patented a <strong>revolutionary invention<\/strong> in 2015, but all us normal folk haven\u2019t yet heard about it.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>patent explorer<\/strong> (official title?) has discovered that Microsoft plans to change the world of computers with a concept called a \u201c<strong>modular computing device<\/strong>.\u201d The patent which was filed July 7<sup>th<\/sup> 2015,and basically means they want to start making PCs like Lego.<\/p>\n<p>In theory, this patent would give you the possibility to upgrade your <strong>PC <\/strong>in a matter of seconds rather than having to open it and change internal parts. There are however, already similar inventions on the market such as the PC for gamers called <strong>Razer<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-85752\" title=\"20-1-4fc7c910fc5dcd9f47bc854e53ef6ea5\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/02\/20-1-4fc7c910fc5dcd9f47bc854e53ef6ea5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"704\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/02\/20-1-4fc7c910fc5dcd9f47bc854e53ef6ea5.jpg 640w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/02\/20-1-4fc7c910fc5dcd9f47bc854e53ef6ea5-232x256.jpg 232w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/02\/20-1-4fc7c910fc5dcd9f47bc854e53ef6ea5-516x568.jpg 516w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Although, what <strong>Microsoft<\/strong> is working on aims to go much further than just desktop computers.
