WhatsApp<\/strong> continues to add various features <\/strong>to the application for both Android<\/strong> and iOS<\/strong>, in the hope of stopping you having to turn to the competition.<\/p>\n

The latest update<\/strong> allows you to use different text formats<\/strong> when writing and receiving messages, such as creating bold<\/strong>, italic<\/em> and strikethrough<\/span> text – wherever you want it to appear.<\/p>\n

The update is now available on the beta versions of the app (2.12.17 for iOS<\/strong> and 2.12.535 for Android<\/strong>) but will soon reach all phones.<\/p>\n

Do you already have these updated versions of WhatsApp<\/strong>? Well, then you\u2019re ready to go!<\/p>\n

In order to start using this new feature, you need to do the following:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To use bold letter, place asterisks either side of the word: *bold<\/strong>*<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To use italics, simply add underscores to either side of the word: _italics<\/em>_<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To use strikethroughs in text, use tildes either side, like this: ~strikethrough<\/span>~<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not all! You\u2019re now able to combine the formats such as: _*bolditalics<\/em><\/strong>*_<\/p>\n
