As I have been excited to play Remedy\u2019s new game for a while, I thought that this week I would celebrate by bringing you three of my favorite <strong>games with time travel powers<\/strong>. And yes, I do know I missed <a title=\"Read the full PC review.\" href=\"http:\/\/life-is-strange.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Life is Strange<\/a> off the list, but that\u2019s because we have already featured it in our games of 2015 video\u2013 rewind time to\u00a0<a title=\"Watch it now.\" href=\"http:\/\/features.en.softonic.com\/2015s-pc-and-console-games-of-the-year\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">check it out<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<div class=\"g-ytsubscribe\" data-channel=\"SoftonicUSA\" data-layout=\"full\" data-count=\"undefined\"><\/div>\n<h3>Day of the Tentacle Remastered (<a title=\"Read the full PC review\" href=\"http:\/\/day-of-the-tentacle-remastered.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows<\/a>|<a title=\"Read the full Mac review\" href=\"http:\/\/day-of-the-tentacle-remastered.en.softonic.com\/mac\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mac<\/a>)<\/h3>\n<p>Day of the Tentacle Remastered is a <strong>re-release of the classic 1993 point-and-click adventure<\/strong>. Keeping all of the sharp writing and humor, Double Fine dived back into Lucas Arts\u2019 vaults to find all of the original designs and voice acting ensuring that this game lets you travel back in time in two ways.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-87523\" title=\"Day of the Tentacle\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/Day-of-the-Tentacle-568x300.jpg\" alt=\"DoT Remaster\" width=\"568\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/Day-of-the-Tentacle.jpg 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/Day-of-the-Tentacle-256x135.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Playing as Bernard, Hoagie, and Laverne you must stop the Purple Tentacle\u2019s plans of world domination. After being <strong>scattered through time by a faulty time machine<\/strong>, the three \u201cheroes\u201d must solve the various puzzles that are constantly thrown at them, utilizing the fact one is in the past, one is in the present, and one is in the future.<\/p>\n<h3>Braid (<a title=\"Read the Windows review\" href=\"http:\/\/braid.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows<\/a>|<a title=\"Read the full Mac review\" href=\"http:\/\/braid.en.softonic.com\/mac\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mac<\/a>)<\/h3>\n<p>Braid is a smart <strong>blend of puzzle and platform game<\/strong>. While navigating its six stages controls like a Mario platformer &#8211;\u00a0 with you stomping various enemies on your way to the goal \u2013 time travel powers inject a wonderful range of paradoxical puzzles.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-87524\" title=\"braid\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/braid-568x300.jpg\" alt=\"Suited Mario\" width=\"568\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/braid.jpg 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/braid-256x135.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With powers that include rewinding time, slowing events around you, and producing clones, your abilities quickly stack to allows for some<strong> incredibly challenging puzzles<\/strong>. Add to this levels that only move when you do for a truly chronological conundrums.<\/p>\n<h3>Super Time Force Ultra (<a title=\"Read the full PC review\" href=\"http:\/\/super-time-force-ultra.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows<\/a>)<\/h3>\n<p>Continuing the 2D theme is Super Time Force Ultra, a title stuffed with high-octane 16-bit style and precision action. This game is hard \u2013 old-school hard &#8211; with enemies easily able to kill you with a single shot. Don\u2019t worry though, because your team of heroes have <strong>a temporal trick to level the playing field<\/strong> \u2013 the ability rewind time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-87525\" title=\"super time force ultra\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/super-time-force-ultra-568x300.jpg\" alt=\"super time force ultra\" width=\"568\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/super-time-force-ultra.jpg 568w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/super-time-force-ultra-256x135.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This allows you to use past\/current\/future (whatever) versions of your squad members to help you make it through levels within the tight time limit. This keeps the action fraught, but also opens up entertaining opportunities like <strong>rescuing downed squad members by taking out their killers pre-slaughter<\/strong>. Great fun if you have the reflexes for it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>That\u2019s it for this show!
