Follow any of these steps to increase your chances of losing your PC, or follow them all for good measure. <\/span><\/p>\n

Warning:<\/b> Don\u2019t even think about doing the opposite of what I say\u00a0below. In that case, <\/span>you\u2019d be increasing your computer\u2019s security<\/b>, and we don\u2019t want that, do we!<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Every time you see a link, click on it<\/b><\/h3>\n

Has a window unexpectedly opened in your browser with two dozen links and buttons with the word <\/span>\u201cFREE\u201d<\/b>? Then don\u2019t leave a single link unclicked.<\/span><\/p>\n

Got a WhatsApp message<\/b> with a link that one of your contacts sent you without any explanation? Don\u2019t waste time checking if it\u2019s spam: click, click, click.<\/span><\/p>\n

Click everywhere and <\/span>your computer will experience<\/b> trouble in record time.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Open all email attachments <\/b><\/h3>\n

Every day you get a ton of emails. So there\u2019s a good chance that one of them has a <\/span>document with malware waiting to finish off your Operating System. <\/b>So, open ALL attachments. Especially if they\u2019re from the government or your phone company saying that they\u2019ve mysteriously lost your information and need you to fill out a form.<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t get discouraged if after opening all the files, you don\u2019t find a single harmful one. <\/span>Go to your Spam folder. Ta-da!<\/b> There you\u2019ll find even more email! And they\u2019re 100% more deadly and suspicious than those in your inbox. So go ahead, open all the files you find inside. One of them will have the desired effect.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Reinstall Windows Vista<\/b><\/h3>\n

Since April 11, 2017, <\/span>Windows Vista<\/b><\/a> has stopped receiving technical support from Microsoft. <\/b>This means the legendary Operating System has stopped receiving security updates or patches\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Microsoft explains the advantages of now using Windows Vista <\/span>in its official statement<\/span><\/a>: \u201cIf you continue to use Windows Vista now that support has ended, <\/span>your computer will still work but it might become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses.<\/b> Internet Explorer 9 is no longer supported, so if your Windows Vista PC is connected to the Internet and you use Internet Explorer 9 to surf the web, you might be exposing your PC to additional threats.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Now you know: reinstall <\/span>Windows Vista<\/span><\/a> and browse using IE 9.<\/b><\/p>\n

In general, this will work if you\u00a0<\/span>reinstall any program or Operating System<\/b> that no longer has official technical support. This way you\u2019ll increase your chances of finishing off your computer, since this software won\u2019t be ready for modern malware.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Uninstall recent updates to Windows 10<\/b><\/h3>\n

Got Windows 10 and no way to return to Windows Vista? I\u2019ve got bad news: <\/span>security updates are often automatic these days. <\/b>Dammit! Why can\u2019t we go back to the era when we could postpone updates and become more exposed to viruses?<\/span><\/p>\n

The good news is that there\u2019s a way to uninstall the latest updates to <\/span>Windows 10<\/span><\/a>. Follow this path: <\/span>Settings – Updates and Security – Windows Updates – Advanced Options – View Update History – Uninstall Updates.<\/b><\/p>\n

A window with all installed Windows updates to date will pop\u00a0up. You know what? I was going to tell you to delete only the most recent updates. Forget about it: <\/span>delete them ALL<\/b>. Don\u2019t leave a single one untouched. Hopefully, after an extreme browsing session, you\u2019ll have malware that couldn\u2019t harm an updated Windows 10 but, with your outdated Operating System, <\/span>can infect it and do some damage.<\/b><\/p>\n

By the way, this step is key for uninstalling updates to Windows 10 that are giving\u00a0you trouble. Sometimes, security patches aren\u2019t released perfectly or are incompatible with the Operating System or some other program. In this case, it\u2019s best to <\/span>uninstall or disable the update until Microsoft makes a patch for the patch. <\/b>But I doubt this advice will help you since you want to mess up your PC, not help it.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Use some of these weak and popular passwords<\/b><\/h3>\n

According to Keeper Security, a password management company, <\/span>these were the most used passwords in 2016<\/b><\/a>:<\/b><\/p>\n

  2. 123456789<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. qwerty<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. 12345678<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. 111111<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. 1234567890<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. 1234567<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. password<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. 123123<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. 987654321<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Go on, <\/span>use any of them<\/b>. Not only are they popular, but they\u2019re also more likely to be hacked. Don\u2019t use complex and strong passwords. That\u2019s out of the question!<\/span><\/p>\n

    \"Weak-Password\"<\/p>\n

    Ah, and don\u2019t even think about making the mistake of using a different password for each one of your accounts. What are you playing at? <\/span>Making it difficult to hack or infect your computer or accounts?<\/b> No, sir. What we want is the complete opposite, so use \u201c123456\u201d or something similar for all your accounts, from Facebook to your Operating System login.<\/span><\/p>\n

    6. Get rid of any kind of \u201cPlan B\u201d<\/b><\/h3>\n

    What\u2019s the point of prematurely destroying your Operating System if you have a <\/span>backup copy of it<\/b>?<\/span><\/p>\n

    For starters, don\u2019t even think about making backup copies of your most valuable documents, photos or files\u2026 <\/span>Don\u2019t upload them to any cloud server<\/b> or make duplicates on an external hard drive. Otherwise, it will be impossible to experience a complete and utter loss.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Next, make sure you have the system restore option disabled. This option has the nerve to make restore points for your OS from time to time, so that, if there\u2019s a problem, <\/span>you can restore it to a point when it was working correctly<\/b>. Just awful.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The good news is that this option is disabled by default on Windows 10, but just in case, it\u2019s better to make sure. Follow this path: <\/span>File Explorer – This Computer – Properties – System Protection – the drive where your Operating System is located – Configure.<\/b><\/p>\n
